Living at Sunview means the best of Colorado Springs is your backyard.

Fort Carson

Sunview RV Park sits adjacent to Fort Carson, one of the U.S. Army's major installations and home to the 4th Infantry Division. For active-duty soldiers, DoD civilians, and contractors, living here means a commute measured in minutes instead of an hour on I-25 — plus a quiet, affordable alternative to on-post housing or an apartment lease.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Just up the road on the side of Cheyenne Mountain, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is America's mountain zoo — built into the hillside at 6,714 feet with sweeping views of Colorado Springs below. Famous for its giraffe herd (you can feed them by hand), it houses more than 750 animals and is consistently ranked among the best zoos in North America.

Garden of the Gods

A registered National Natural Landmark, Garden of the Gods is a free public park where towering red sandstone formations rise against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak. Paved walking paths, rock climbing, and a world-class visitor center make it Colorado Springs' signature attraction — and it's an easy drive north from the park.

Pikes Peak

At 14,115 feet, Pikes Peak — "America's Mountain" — inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write "America the Beautiful" after visiting its summit. Drive the Pikes Peak Highway, ride the Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, or hike the Barr Trail. On clear days you can see it from the park; from the summit, you can see five states.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park

Practically our next-door neighbor, Cheyenne Mountain State Park protects 2,700 acres of foothills prairie and pine forest with more than 28 miles of hiking and biking trails. It's one of Colorado's newer state parks, and its trail system connects the kinds of landscapes Sunview residents enjoy right on the property.
